Observation On Clinical Efficacy Of Black Bean Lotion In Treating Keratotic Hand Eczema

Objective: This research aimed to observe the clinical efficacy of externally washing with black bean lotion in treating keratotic hand eczema and evaluate drug safety of external application with black bean lotion and investigate effect on quality of life of patients after the treatments.Method: A total of 60 patients with keratotic hand eczema were randomly divided into two groups. Treatment group was prescribed black bean lotion in conjunction with snake fat compound ointment and flumethasone compound ointment externally for a period of 4 weeks. Control group was prescribed only snake fat compound ointment and flumethasone compound ointment externally for a period of 4 weeks. After a course of treatment, we evaluated the clinical efficacy by comparing the HECSI scores, pruritus degrees and DLQI scores before and after the treatment. We also monitored adverse reactions to evaluate the drug safety and followed up the cured patients to observe the recurrence situation.Results: After the 4 weeks treatment, the cure rates of treatment group and control group were 26.7% and 13.8%. The treatment group was much better than control group, the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). The effective rates of treatment group and control group were 93.3% and 73.3%, the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). The total scores of treatment group and control group were 4.37±4.486 and 12.31±4.573, the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.01).Conclusion: The result showed that the black bean lotion has significant effect and high medication safety on treating keratotic hand eczema. The quality of patients’ life has been significantly improved.
