Purpose: The aim of the study is to evaluate the improvement of clinical curative effect of the therapy of infantile eczema and to clarify the clinical practical value through randomized, controlled clinical trial of eczema lotion.Material and method:61 patients were randomly divided into experimental group and control group. 31 cases in experimental group, and 30 cases in the control group. The experimental group was treated with Topical treatment of eczema lotion. If the patient’s skin was erythema, papules, dry desquamation, we used warm wash then external baby moisturizer; if the patient’s skin has Erosion seepage, scabby, we use cold compress about the skin then with purple yellow ointment outside,tw ice a week, 15 min each time. The course of treatment was 14 ± 2 days. We use Dermatitis lotion in the control group. If the patient’s skin is erythema, papules, dry desquamation, we use warm wash then external baby moisturizer; if the patient’s skin has Erosion seepage, scabby, we use cold compress about the skin then with Zinc Oxide Oil, twice a week, 15 min each time. The course of treatment was 14 ± 2 days. Curative effect, the degree of lesion morphology, itching, skin area, clinical symptoms, total integral, the skin surface bacteria detection are analyzed by statistical method. Results: 1. The findings from the clinical observations showed that, the total effective rates of patients with lesions in experimental group is 93.3% and the total effective rates of the control group is 63.33%.It indicated that the treatment in experimental group was more effective than the control group(rank sum test, P<0.05).2. The results of the comparisons between the two groups in terms of lesion area, lesion shape, and pruritus after treatment also showed that the treatment in experimental group was more effective than the control group(P<0.05).3. Within the treatment group, the total effective rates for patients with exudative eczema and drying eczema(classified by the Western Medicine) were 94.44% and 91.6%, respectively. This result showed that there was not significant difference about the effective rate of the eczema lotion between these two types of eczema(P>0.05).4. The total effective rates of patients with the damp-heat eczema and the spleen-wet eczema(classified by the Chinese Medicine) were 94.18% and 92.31%, respectively, also showing a non-significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).5. Skin surface bacteria detection rate of before-experimental group and after-experimental group decreased significantly, which indicated that Eczema lotion has significant sterilization effect. The surface bacteria detection rates were 6.67% and 16.67% for the experimental group and the control group, respectively, indicating a non-significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusion: 1. Eczema lotion treatment of infant eczema is better than the control group.2. There is no significant difference between Eczema lotion treatment seepage type infant eczema and the drying effect.3. There is no significant difference between Eczema lotion in the treatment of congenital disease syndrome infant eczema and Type wet aggregates pixu(spleen deficient) curative effect.4. Eczema lotion has a strong bactericidal effect.
