Objective: Observe the clinical effect and recurrence rate of Xiaochaihutang in the treatment of the type of Gan Jing Yun Re recurrent subacute thyroiditis,to provide strategies for the clinical prevation and treatment of subacute thyroiditis, and reduce the recurrence rate. Methods: Collect 64 cases of patients diagnosed with type of Gan Jing Yun Re recurrent subacute thyroiditis by Hubei Province Traditionl Chinese Medicine Hospital, the patients were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,31 cases in each group. The two groups are given continuous therapy for eight weeks as a course of treatment. The treatment group were treated with Xiaochaihutang combinged with prednisone tablet, the control group were treated with prednisone table. To observe the changes of clinical symptoms and signs, and measure thyroid function(FT3,FT4, TSH),erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR), C-reactive protein(CRP) before and after treatment in both groups of patients,to compare the efficacy difference of treatment group and control group, and count the recurrence rate in the therphy and follow-up period. The statistics and data were analyzed with SPSS17.0 statistical software. Results: 1.The comparison of infection history, past history of thyroid related, gender, age, complication before treatment on the patients have no significant difference,P>0.05. It clarifies that the two groups of patients are comparable.2.Comparison of physicochemical indexes: After the therapy, the patients’ thyroid function(FT3, FT4, TSH) and ESR and CRP have been obviously improved compared with before therphy, and treatment group superior to the control group on improving physicochemical indexes,by statistical analysis,P < 0.05,there was significant difference.3.Comparison of clinical symptoms and syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine:After the therapy, the clinical indexes and the TCM syndromes of patients have been significantly improved compared with before therphy, and the treatment group is superior to the control group on improving clinical indexes and the TCM syndromes, by statistical analysis,P<0.05,there was significant difference. 4.Comparison of total effective rate:After the therapy, the total effective rate of treatment group was 93.33%, control group’s total effective rate was 76.67%, by statistical analysis,P <0.05,there was significant difference.5.Comparison of recurrence rate: The recurrence rate on treatment group is 6.67%, the recurrence rate on control group is 26.67% during the therapy and follow-up period, there have significant difference(P<0.05).6.Safety comparison:After the therapy, the hormone related reaction rate on treatment group is 3.33%,the hormone related reaction rate on control group is 30.0%, by statistical analysis,P< 0.05,there was significant difference. It clarifies that the treatment group is superior to the control group on reducing hormone related reaction rate.Conclution: Clinical research showed that, the treatment of the Type of Gan Jing Yun Re recurrent subacute thyroiditis with Xiao Chai Hu Tang combine prednisone can obviously improve the clinical symptoms of patients, reduce TCM syndrome integral, promote the recovery of thyroid function, improve the ESR and CRP,reduce the recurrence rate and hormone related reaction rate significantly, alleviate and control of the disease effectively, improve the life quality of the patients. It has obvious advantages compared with simple western medicine treat recurrent subacute thyroiditis and provides ideas for the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine prevention of recurrent subacute thyroiditis.
