Study On The Mental Health Services In Shijiazhuang

Competition exists everywhere in today’s society. People endure multiple pressures from work, study and so on. The incidence of mental disorder presents gradually increasing trend. Troublemaking events caused by mental illness have attracted attention to mental health of the whole society. Under the grim backdrop of frequent mental health problems, the "686" Project, one of the basic public health services in China, is to establish the mental health service system that is the integration of the hospital and the community. This paper, taking the "686" project of Shijiazhuang as an example, has a study on the mental health services in Shijiazhuang. First, related concepts and theories about mental health services are presented and analyzed. It analyzes that public health services and mental health services belongs to the category of public goods combined with theory of public goods. And it also discusses the main responsibility and public functions of government in the construction of mental health service system and the work of mental health prevention. The paper introduces the status of mental health in Shijiazhuang, including the mental health status before the "686" Project of 2011, the management and service model, the main content,the government responsibility and the current situation of the "686" Project in Shijiazhuang. Based on the status, it points out that the "686" project has the influence on mental health services in Shijiazhuang. Combined with the actual situation, it puts forward some problems of the mental health services in Shijiazhuang and objectively analyzes the reasons. Finally, it makes suggestions to improve mental health services in Shijiazhuang by learning from experience of the mental health delivery system in United Kingdom.
