The Relationship Between ALDH2Gene Polymorphism And The Vasodilative Effect Of Nitroglycerin On Coronary Artery

Objective:To investigate the relationship between aldehyde dehydrogenase2（ALDH2） gene polymorphism and the vasodilative effect ofnitroglycerin on coronary artery.Method:One hundred forty-two suspected Han patients with angina pectoriswere enrolled in this study.Polymorphism chain reaction (PCR) and DNAmicroarray were performed to screen the polymorphism of ALDH2gene.The whole patients were divided into two groups according to thegenotypes,namely GG group(n=104) and GA/AA group(n=38).In theprocess of coronary angiography,all subjects were given200ugnitroglycerin in right coronary artery.Then the invasive hemodynamicparameters of systolic blood pressure(SBP),diastolic blood pressure(DBP)and heart rate(HR) were monitored and compared between two groups at0minute(before medication) and0.5,1,2,3minutes after medication.Thereference diameter and stenosis diameter of right coronary artery weremeasured and compared between two groups at0minute(beforemedication) and1minute after medication with the Stenosis Analysis1.6software. Results:In both groups,the SBP values were different at0,0.5,1,2,3minutes（P＜0.05），and the SBP value at1minute obviously decreasedthan that at0minute(P＜0.001).There is no statistical difference insystolic blood pressure between two groups(P＞0.05).In wild typegroup,the DBP values were different at0,0.5,1minute(P＜0.05),andthe DBP value at0.5minute obviously decreased than that at0minute（P＜0.001），the DBP values were similar at other time points（P＞0.05）. In mutant type group,the DBP value at0.5minute obviously decreased than that at0minute（P＜0.001），the DBP values were similar at other time points（P＞0.05）.There is no statistical difference in diastolic blood pressure between two groups(P＞0.05).In both groups,the HR values were different at0,0.5,1,2,3minutes（P＜0.05），and the HR value at0.5minute significantly increasedthan that at0minute(P＜0.001). There is no statistical difference inheart rate between two groups(P＞0.05).There was no difference inthe reference diameter and stenosis diameter between two groups before medication(P＞0.05).The changing rate of the reference diameter and stenosis diameter between two group after medication was also similar between two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusions:ALDH2gene polymorphism is not associated with the vasodilative effect of nitroglycerin on coronary artery.Neither is associated withhemodynamic changes after medication in the coronary artery.
