[Objective] to understand the epidemiological characteristics of pneumoconiosis in Changxing County from2006-2013, and to provide scientific evidences for making effective countermeasures in prevention and control of pneumoconiosis.[method] The data of pneumoconiosis diagnosis were exported from China Information System for Disease Control and Prevention in Excel electronic form and further cleaned according to relevant statistical analysis requirements. Epidemiological characteristics of209new cases of pneumoconiosis from2006to2013and27progressive cases were analyzed.[results]①Totally209newly occured pneumoconiosis were found during2006-2012in ChangXing county, among which were all male,and89.95%of which were workers. Cases of small enterprises accounted for61.24percent of the total enterprises.②The most newly occured pneumoconiosis were occurred in2012,which accounted for24.88percent; Followed by2011,which accounted for20.57percent.The cases of period I accounted for73.68percent,which shared the maximum number; Pneumoconiosis cases distributed in10towns. Among the top three were Hepin town(78cases,37.23%),Meishan town(76cases,36.36%) and Hongqiao town(25cases,20.57%). Ranked first in the non-metallic mining industry, followed by coal mining and washing industry, non-metallic mineral products industry; The most of pneumoconiosis were silicosis, follwed by coal workers’ pneumoconiosis, welders pneumoconiosis, other pneumoconiosis and founder pneumoconiosis; The pneumoconiosis cases of private enterprises accounting for87.08%of the total number of cases;57.42%of the total number of cases occurred in the1980s and1990s.③209pneumoconiosis cases were detected in39,075dust hazard exposure of workers during2006-2013. The highest annual rate of detection was0.86%in2010; The average age of onset was52.19±9.79years, the average years of dust exposure was16.41±9.7years, The majority of cases was period I which up to154(74.86%); Most pneumoconiosis cases exposure to dust in5-10years,most cases occurred in their40-year-old to50years old(88,42.11%).④14cases of pneumoconiosis combined with tuberculosis in209cases of patients. The average combined rate was6.70%.There was no significant statistically difference between various stages of period combined with tuberculosis.⑤27cases were in promotion of pneumoconiosis with an average time of7.8years,8cases of coal workers’ pneumoconiosis and19cases of silicosis with an average time of3.5years.[Conclusion] Pneumoconiosis is a major occupational in Changxing County, the vast majority of new-onset pneumoconiosis from non-metallic minerals and coal mining, and mainly for silicosis and coal workers’ pneumoconiosis. There was a place and professional distribution of Pneumoeoniosis in Changxing. Prevalence of pneumoeoniosis was associated with the exposed dust concentration in different work type.Drill and composite workers should be the main prevention and treating population in miners. Governments at all levels should attach importance to the prevention and treatment of pneumoconiosis. The relevant departments of unity and cooperation should take measures to prevent occupational hazards of dust from the source, and improve relevant laws and regulations systematically.Improve occupational disease prevention and regulatory system with establishing a new model of long-term management of occupational health.
