Medical Coping In Elderly T2DM Patients And Its Influencing Factors

ObjectiveThis study was to find the medical coping styles status and the related influence factors of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes,in order to attract the attention of clinical nursing workers. Thus when working for elderly patients with type 2 diabetes care,it can provide certain theoretical basis.MethodsThis study used convenience sampling method,select within each one of Jinzhou City and Chengde city hospitals from March 2014 to July in endocrinology treated 228 cases of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes,by using the Chinese version of the medical applications coping Questionnaire(Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire,MCMQ) investigation. SSPS17.0 is used to analyse the data from statistical analysis,respectively using independent sample t test,F test and multiple linear stepwise regression analysis to investigate the medical response to the status quo of elderly patients with type 2 diabetes and the main influence factors.Results1、Elderly patients with type 2 diabetes tend to face those 136 cases(59.65%), tend to avoid those 70 cases(30.70%), 22 cases of patients who tend to yield(9.55%).2 、 Medical Coping Questionnaire scores in different education level, geographic, medical burden were statistically significantre different in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes(P <0.05).3、Medical response influenting factors of each dimension of multiple linear regression analysis showed:(1)The regression equation into the face of the dimensions have educational level, duration, medical burden way, gender(F = 294.82, P <0.05);(2)Avoidance dimension into the regression equation literate the extent, duration, geographic, medical burden mode(F = 191.35, P <0.05);(3)Yield dimension into the regression equation only educational level(F = 580.12, P <0.05).Conclusion1、Elderly patients with type 2 diabetes and actively respond to levels below the national norm, negative coping level higher than the norm;2 、 Different education level, geographic, medical burden way, elderly patients with type 2 diabetes medicine taken in the course of coping in different ways.Among them,high levels of education, enough health care, shorter duration tend to be more active to face the disease, while the low education level,no health insurance, duration of the elderly tend to be negative coping;On a whole,the elderly type 2 diabetes in Chengde City made more active coping levels than those in Jinzhou City.3、Elderly type 2 diabetes patients’ medical coping questionnaire in each dimension score inflating that, the influenting factors of the "face" dimension scores are cultural level, gender, course, medical burden way; the influenting factors of the "avoid" dimension scores are cultural level, course, geography, medical burden way; The influence factor of "yield" dimension scores is education.
