Objectives:(1)To investigate the quality of life, coping style and social support of primary liver cancer patients.(2)To explore the relationship between medical coping modes, social support and quality of life for primary liver cancer patients undergoing interventional therapy. Methods:Through convenience sampling,109primary liver cancer patients undergoing interventional therapy were evaluated by demographic information sheet, Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire (MCMQ), Social Support Rating Scale (SSRS) and Quality of Life Scale for Liver Cancer (QOL-LC). The data was analyzed by SPSS(versionl3.0).Statistic methods included descriptive analysis, multiple linear regression and correlation analysis.Results:1.123subjects were recruited and109(88.62%) subjects completed the questionnaires.2.The mean score of three dimensions of MCMQ for primary liver cancer patients undergoing interventional therapy were:face (19.51±3.23),avoid (16.00±2.43) and surrender (9.32±2.90),respectively.3.The total mean score of SSRS for primary liver cancer patients undergoing interventional therapy was (45.78±5.59), The mean score of three dimensions were:objective support (11.02±3.17),subjective support (27.80±3.59) availability of support (6.95±1.97)4.The total mean score of QOL for primary liver cancer patients undergoing interventional therapy was (119.53±25.33), The mean score of four dimensions were:somatic function (34.11±9.35), mental function (34.17±10.61), symptoms/side effect (19.79±9.51),social function (31.46±8.29).5. Multiple linear regression showed times of interventional therapy, age, marriage, cultural degree and occupation entered the regression equation of quality of life in primary liver cancer patients.6. Correlation analysis showed(1) avoid had negative correlation with QOL and its four dimensions (r=-0.54, r=-0.34, r=-0.28, r=-0.49, r=-0.24, P values all<0.05),surrender had negative correlation with QOL and its three dimensions except the social functional dimension (r=-0.32, r=-0.27, r=-0.27, r=-0.30,P values all<0.05),face had positive correlation with QOL its four dimensions (r=0.78, r=0.52, r=0.46, r=0.62, r=0.38,P values all<0.01).(2)social support had positive correlation with QOL(r=0.774, P<0.01).Conclusion:1. The score of QOL in primary liver cancer patients is lower than others. 2. Times of interventional therapy, age, marriage, cultural degree and occupation are the influencing factors for QOL of primary liver cancer patients.3. The primary liver cancer patients tend to choose face among three coping styles.4. The primary liver caner patients gain higher social support.5. Medical coping modes is related to QOL for primary liver cancer patients undergoing interventional therapy, positive coping modes could improve the QOL of the patients while the negative coping modes does the opposite.6. Social support is related to QOL for primary liver cancer patients undergoing interventional therapy, the more social support the patient gains, the better Quality of life he has.
