Objective: To investigate the somatic, psychic and body and mind sub-health status and its associated factors among vocational college students, and provide basic evidence for the further prevention and intervention of sub-health status in vocational college students.Method: A total of 3 130 vocational college students from one college were recruited by using a random sampling method. All subjects were surveyed with a self-designed questionnaire. The mainly survey content includes social demographic characteristics, sub-health status, anxiety, depression, smoking and drinking. The data were collected by using Multidimensional Sub-health Questionnaire of Adolescent(MSQA) and Youth Risk Behavior Survey(YRBS). All data was inputted into computer with Epi Data 3.0. c2-test was used to analyze difference of detection rate between males and females, rural area and urban area, and different groups; Logistic regression analysis was used to assess the risk factors of sub-health status. All analyzes were conducted with the SPSS version 13.0 statistical package. Results: The overall prevalence of body and mind sub-health status among 3 130 vocational college students was 20.9%. The prevalence of somatic and psychic sub-health status was 26.4% and 19.5%, respectively. The prevalence of psychic and body and mind sub-health status of sophomore was higher than freshmen; and the prevalence of somatic, psychic and body and mind sub-health status of students with low family social economic status was higher than students with high family social economic status, and the differences were significant(P<0.05). But there was no difference between gender, major, residence place, parents education level and single and non-single child family. The prevalence of somatic, psychic and body and mind sub-health status of students with smoking behavior, alcohol use, and poor sleep quality were significantly higher than students without smoking behavior, alcohol use, and poor sleep quality respectively. Students who lack of physical activity have higher prevalence of psychic sub-health status than normal students.Logistic regression analysis showed that social economic status, alcohol use and poor sleep quality were the risk factors of somatic sub-health status(OR=1.466, 95%CI: 1.202-1.788; OR=1.304, 95%CI: 1.097-1.549; OR=4.686, 95%CI: 3.867-5.680); Grade, social economic status, alcohol use, lacking of physical activity and poor sleep quality were the risk factors of psychic sub-health status(OR=1.272, 95%CI: 1.051-1.539; OR=1.649, 95%CI: 1.334-2.038; OR=1.432, 95%CI: 1.185-1.731; OR=1.363, 95%CI: 1.089-1.707; OR=3.606, 95%CI: 2.945-4.416); Grade, social economic status, alcohol use and poor sleep quality were the risk factors of body and mind sub-health status(OR=1.221, 95%CI: 1.012-1.474; OR=1.479, 95%CI: 1.196-1.829; OR=1.494, 95%CI: 1.240-1.800; OR=4.596, 95%CI: 3.767-5.608).Conclusion: The sub-health status of vocational college students was serious. Grade, social economic status, alcohol use, physical activity, and sleep quality were associated with physical, psychological and total sub-healthy status. It is urgent to exploit comprehensive measures to promote health status in vocational college students.
