The lifestyle and working pressure of medical professionals, who work as health educators and practitioners, are gaining more and more attention. How to adapt to the accelerating social rhythm is becoming some scholars’ task.MethodsThe author gave a descriptive study using convenience sampling, a questionnaire survey was conducted in tertiary referral centers of Jinan and a total of 428 valid questionnaires finished by different nurses was collected. Each of these questionnaires consisted of four parts:the first part was general information of every nurse from general ward,ICU,emergency clinic;the second one was health promotion lifestyle scale to learn about the lifestyle conditions of nurses from general ward, ICU, emergency clinic; the third one was nurse job stress scale to understand nurses’ working pressure status from general ward, ICU and emergency clinic.SAS 9.3 statistical software was used for statistical processing and analysis. Cir=0.05, if no special instructions, all values were expressed in bilateral probability. Descriptive statistics, analysis of variance,Pearson analysis, multiple linear regression and other statistical methods were used for data statistics.Results1. A total of 600 participants were sampled in three hospitals at the provincial level in Jinan,a total of 428 responses were usable for the analyses,in which the common ward was 218,the ICU ward was 113, and the emergency ward was 97.2.Lifestyle scores between three different nurse groups had statistic significance (P < 0.05). The total score of common ward’s was the lowest (58.57 ± 13.38), while the emergency nurses had the highest total score (63.56±17.73). Self-realization in the lifestyles of all the nurses got the highest score. The lowest dimension of the common ward was exercise(5.71 ±5.00), while the lowest dimension of ICU nurses and emergency nurses was a balanced diet, whose respective score was 6.62+2.47 and 6.70±3.04.3.There were differences in health-promoting lifestyles among ordinary nurses who were different in the various age groups, housing situation, the nature of employment, family status, wages, workload, whether to do exercise; There were differences in health-promoting lifestyles among emergency nurses who were different in current degree, wages; There were differences in health-promoting lifestyles among ICU nurses who were different in bonus, workload, blood fat is normal or not, whether to do exercise.4.The score of work pressure among different nurse groups was significant (P<0.05).The total score of common ward’s was the lowest (73.17±17.04),while the emergency nurses had the highest total score (78.70±21.40).Among 5 dimensions on work stress scale of different nurse groups, the highest score was the nursing profession, the lowest score was the working environment and equipment problems. 5.There were differences in work pressure scores among ordinary nurses who were different in workload, blood is normal or not; There were differences in health-promoting lifestyles among ordinary nurses who were different in gender, workload; There were differences in work pressure scores among ICU nurses who were different in bonus, workload, blood fat is normal or not, whether to do exercise. There were differences in work pressure scores among emergency nurses who were different in technical titles, nature of employment, bonuses, workload, BMI, blood fat is normal or not, whether to do exercise.6.The relationship between lifestyle and work pressure of common nurses was negatively correlated (r=-0.188,p<0.01).The same thing occurred among the differently dimensions of lifestyle with the nursing profession and working, the workload and time allocation, the patient nursing, the work pressure management, interpersonal relationship(p<0.05),and the correlation lifestyle was-0.188,-0.152,-0.151,-0.135 respectively.Lifestyle of ICU nurses was unrelated to job stress, but negatively correlated with the work pressure management and interpersonal relationship (p<0.05,r=-0.211).Lifestyle of emergency nurses’ was unrelated to work pressure, but negatively correlated with the workload and time allocation(r=-0.216,p<0.05).7.Nurse’s lifestyle had significant linear correlation with taking measures to exercise, bonus, salary, and work pressure.Multiple regression analysis was significant. Regression analysis showed that the factor that influenced the nurses’lifestyle most is whether to take exercise measures. Bonus, salary, work pressure also had effect on the mental health status, but was weaker than whether to take exercise or not.Conclusion1.ICU nurses and emergency nurses are young groups.2.Lifestyle scores of common ward nurses, emergency nurses and ICU nurses were still in the medium level.Lifestyle scores among three different nurse groups had statistic significance. The emergency nurses had the highest total score, the followed were ICU nurses and common ward’s nurses.3.There were differences in health-promoting lifestyles among ordinary nurses who were different in the various age groups, housing situation, the nature of employment, family status, wages, workload, whether to do exercise; There were differences in health-promoting lifestyles among emergency nurses who were different in current degree, wages; There were differences in health-promoting lifestyles among ICU nurses who were different in bonus, workload, blood fat is normal or not, whether to do exercise.4.The scores of working pressure among different nurse groups had statistic significance(P<0.05).Among the different nurse groups, emergency nurses had the highest total score.Followed were the score of ICU nurses and the score of ordinary nurse.4.Among ordinary nurses, fixed number of working years, fixed number of years from leaving school, and job titles years were positively correlated with working pressure(p<0.05),while night workload and workload were negatively correlated with working pressure.Among ICU nurses, gender was positively correlated with working pressure, while night workload and workload were negatively correlated with working pressure.Among emergency nurses, distance from house, bonus and if taking training measures were positively correlated with working pressure (p< 0.01),while night workload, work and if blood fat is normal were negatively correlated with working pressure(p< 0.01).5.Different nurse groups’ lifestyle and job pressure scores had statistic significance. The dimensions in lifestyle and job pressure were related.6.Regression analysis showed that the factor that influenced the nurses’ health way of life most was whether to take exercise measures. Bonus, salary, working pressure also had effect on the mental health status, but was weaker than whether to take exercise measures.
