Objective:To describe the status of working pressure, self-efficacy and job satisfaction among emergency nurses’in JiLin. To analyze the diffeberence of working pressure, self-efficacy and job satisfaction in the general demographic characteristics, and to explore the relationship among working pressure, self-efficacy and job satisfaction.Method:This study is a non experimental design, using a convenience sample of 300emergency nurses’from 7hospitals in JiLin, included demographic charaterstics. The questionnaire, general self-efficacy scale and the nurse job satisfaction scare.320questionnaires were maiced out and,300 valid questionnaires were got back, so the valid return rate is 93.79k Data was inputed and organized using excel worksheet. The data was analyzed by spss17.0 statistical software.Results:(1) The average scores of working pressure, self-efficacy and job satisfaction were 3.09 ±0.59,2.18 ± 0.30,2.42 ± 0.60.(2) There were differences respecticely of working pressure, self-efficacy and job satisfaction in the general demographic characteristics among.(3) Self-efficacy, working pressures and job satisfaction were correlated with eachother.Conclusions:(1) Jilin Province emergency department nurses are under intensive pressure indicating that coping with pressure has become an urgent problem.(2)Nurses’ self-efficacy was at a middle level which indicated that smost of the nurses’ self-efficacy remains to be improved.(3) Nurses’ job satisfaction was the low level which indicates nurses have high expectations about their job.(4)There was a positive correlation between self-efficacy and job atisfaction and a negative correlation between working pressure and job satisfaction indicating that managers and leaders could improve nurses’ job satisfaction by improving self-efficacy and relieving stress.
