The Clinical Study Of Jiejie-acupuncture Treatment For Cervicogenic Headache

ObjectiveObserve the effect of Jiejie-acupuncture treatment for Cervicogenic Headache by the methods of randomized clinical trial, to verify the superiority of Jiejie-acupuncture in treating Cervicogenic Headache. MethodsAll the 70 patients are randomly divided by the SPSS18.0 into two groups: the Jiejie-acupuncture group (the treatment group) and the common acupuncture group(the control group). For the treatment group, the Jiejie-acupuncture is going to use the meridian diagnostics to find out the reflecting point which included the following situation:(1)the skin tone is different from the healthy side;(2)the subcutaneous muscle tone is different from the healthy side;(3)the subcutaneous nodules;(4)the pressure point. Then play the Jiejie-acupuncture on those reflecting point until the pain is released. For the control group, the common acupuncture’s prescription is Fengchi, Tianzhu,Jiaji, Quchi, Waiguan, Ashi.Inserts the needle after 30 minutes without any action. The treatment of all cases is once a day,5 times is a course, there are 2 days off between all the course of treatment. And all cases are observed for 6 times:pre-therapy, after the first/third/fifth therapy, post-therapy and one month after therapy. Find out the curative effect of the difference between two groups by SF-McGill and NPQ score.Results1.The two therapies which includes the control group and the treatment group are both effective for Cervicogenic Headache, and the effect has clinical significance.2.From the analysis, at different treatment time, the treatment group is superior to control group, it shows that Jie-jie acupuncture therapy takes effect more quickly than the control group. With the increase of the treatment time, the effect of treatment group is better than the control group, it shows that Jie-jie acupuncture therapy reduce the patients’symptom scores significantly compared with control group. According to the follow-up evaluation, the symptom scores of the treatment group are lower than the control group, it shows that Jie-jie acupuncture therapy is more consolidated than the control group.3. After comparing overall efficacy of treatment groups, there are 3 cases are cured,28 cases have markedly effect,4 cases improved and no cases are invalid in the treatment group. The total effective rate of the treatment group is 88.57%. There are no cases are cured,24 cases have markedly effect,8 cases improved and 1 case is invalid in the control group. The total effective rate of the control group is 72.73%, two groups have significant differences(P <0.05), it shows that the overall effect of the treatment group is better than the control group.ConclusionsThe Jie-jie acupuncture therapy has quick recovery on CEH than the common acupuncture. Compared with two groups, which shows that the Jiejie-acupuncture has a marked curative effect on CEH and is more consolidated.
