So it provides theoretical support for clinical application and research.MethodsThrough the full text reading the acupuncture monograph "Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion", it has the meaning of summarizing literature of acupuncture and moxibustion before Ming dynasty. And computer searches of Electronic database, includeing Chinese Journal Fulltext Database (CNKI), VIP resource system database(VIP), WanFang thesis database(WF) and Chinese biological medical literature database, and gather the literature material of meeting inclusion criteria. Statistical analysis data with the Microsoft Access database and Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel.Summarized and arrangement of ancient and modern about the choice of acu-points headache, frequency, Channel Tropism, Contrast and analysis the application rules of acu-points, and the manipulating application method.reinforcing and reducing methods. This paper summarized the high frequency of points treatment headache in both ancient and modern literature.ResultsIn the ancient literature, the prescription were bases on single point or pairs, but modern literature are many points.And the same high frequency acu-points in treatment of lambago include FengChi, TouWei, ZuSanLi, BaiHui, HeGu, FengLong, SiZhuKong, ShengTing, LieQue, XuanLu, but the others have large difference. In both periods, the Bladder Meridian, the Gallbladder Meridian, and the Stomach Meridian are main choice, besides, Du meridian and the Sanjiao Meridian are also use frequently. And the most of the acu-points are specific points in ancient and modern periods. they are also noticing the using of Local and upper limb in the two periods.Points penetration method and contralateral insertion treatment of headache is the focus of ancient and modern physicians, and reinforcing method is rarely used in treatment headache. In addition,the modern literature show that they are also focus on following the rules of differentiation and identified meridians about selecting points and compatibility of points.Conclus ionThere are great difference in prescription between ancient and modern doctors, but they are similar in the meridian distribution, type of acu-points and the manipulating application methods, reinforcing and reducing methods. Both of them are select the Yang meridian, and the use of these acu-points,including FengChi, TouWei, ZuSanLi, BaiHui, HeGu, FengLong,SiZhuKong, ShengTing, LieQue, XuanLu, are very high frequency.
