The Clinical Research On Lumbar Disc Herniation By Acupuncture At Three Special Acupoint At Waist And Point Massage

Lumbar Disc Herniation is a common and frequently occurred disease in the clinic which can often manifest much symptoms as lumbago and leg pain. The clinical appearances can be:one or both sides’waist pain, sensory disturbances of lower limb or a disease of the bladder and rectum and so on.ObjectiveWe do the research with randomized controlled method in order to observe and analysis the clinical efficacy for using the therapy of Acupuncture at Three Special Acupoint at Waist and Point Massage, take advantage of this combination to provide a clinical disease-oriented and efficient treatment.MethodThis study is based on the diagnostic criteria and standards of TCM the LDH issued by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2011, combined CT, MR, X ray and other tests to diagnose the patients with this disease. We select suitable cases with LDH from Nicholas Yang’State Medical Center, Department of Neurology government hospital and Pantai Orthopaedic Hospital in Malacca Malaysia and divided them into treat group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases)randomly. Among them, the treat group is be treated with Acupuncture at Three Special Acupoint at Waist and Point Massage, the major acupoints:Shenshu(double)、Dachangshu(double)、Weizhong(double),the acupoints and locations of massage:Shenshu、Yaoyangguan、Huantiao、Ashi、 Jiaji points、the muscles of abdominal, the lower limbs,1 time/day, once a time every other day, a month as a period;whereas the control group is treated with physiotherapy and Point Massage,1 time/day, select the storage prescription, and then use the same method of massege with treat group, once a time every other day, a month as a period. We observe the cases under the JOA、VAS and Oswestry scales to evaluate and confirm the clinical efficacy. Statistical analysis, using SPSS20.0 statistical analysis package for data processing. T test is used to compare two groups. At last, we calculate the improvement rates after treatment.ConclusionThe cases’datas such as gender, age, duration and pre-treatment of JOA score, VAS score and Oswestry score in two groups have no significant(P< 0.05)difference, the baseline is unanimous. After a period treatment, the overall effects of the treatment group:healed in eight cases, fifteen cases are markedly effective, six cases are efficient, one case is invalid and the total efficiency is ninety-six percent;control group:three cases are cured, eight cases are markedly effective, thirteen cases are efficient, six cases are invalid, the total efficiency rate is eighty percent. The treat group patients’syptoms and integral have distinct improvement. ①JOA:The JOA score has a significant improvement than pre-treatment(P<0.05), and the treat group is beter than the control group(P<0.05).② VAS:After treating, the VAS score has a significant improvement than pre-treatment(P<0.01), and the treat group is beter than the control group(P<0.05).③ Oswestry:After treating, the treat group’s Oswestry Disability Index is higher than the control group, and the treat one is beter than the control one (P<0.01).DiscussionThe methods of two groups are all effective in treating Lumbar Disc Herniation. But the method of treat group is better than the control group in improving the patients’clinical symptoms and the scores.
