The Clinical Curative Effect Observation Of Layered Massage Combined With Acupuncture Of "Sciatic Nerve Point" In The Treatment Of Lumbar Disc Herniation

Objective: By observing and comparative analysis the clinical efficacy between layered massage combined with acupuncture of “sciatic nerve point”and traditional massage combined with regular acupuncture in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation, providing a new massage therapy theory and methods of treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Methods: Making 66 patients with lumbar disc herniation in keeping with the inclusion criteria of this research, according to randomized division, into a treatment group of 33 cases and a comparison group of 33 cases. The treatment group got layered massage combined with Acupuncture of “Sciatic nerve point” therapy per day, and the comparison group got traditional massage therapy combined with regular acupuncture per day, each treatment last for a month. All cases were scored by using the low back pain scoring table(JOA), those cases were recorded the scores at the time before the treatment and after the treatment. Then calculated the efficiency of every patient in the both groups, and then calculated the similarities and differences between the two groups.Result: By comparing the each group's scores before and after the research, there were obvious differences(P<0.01)in both two groups of themselves. After one month, the total efficiency of the treatment group was 71.88%, the total efficiency of the comparison group was 56.25%. In the comparison of the two groups, the average JOA score of the treatment group was higher than the comparison group.Conclusion: Both of the two methods could relieve pain degree in patients, improving the patients ' activities, but the clinical efficacy of the treatment group was more significant, this research provided a new theory and method for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.
