ObjectiveThe objective of this study was to explore how to carry out cervical cancer survivors’continue nursing and what the content of it by surveying the demand of continue nursing service, quality of life and sexual life of cervical cancer survivors.MethodThe cross-sectional study was used in this study, cervical cancer survivors were chosen in Guangxi Tumor Hospital through disease management system from August 2011to July 2014, excluding those who were not meeting the requirements of the survey. General information questionnaire, continue nursing demand questionnaire, cancer therapy-cervix(FACT-Cx) and female sexual functioning index(FSFI) were used in the research. Data were analyzed by excel2003 and spss 16.0.Results(1) The demand of continue nursing service of cervical cancer survivors: 242 patients took part in this survey,78.6% patients needed continue nursing; 60.3% of the patients hoped the form of it is telephone follow-up; most of the patients were more willing to accept the continue nursing service of doctors in charge or nurses in charge; 79.8% of the patients hoped accepting continue nursing in two weeks after they left the hospital, 88.4% of patients hoped continue nursing service last six months.(2) Functional Assessment Cancer Therapy-Cervix (FACT-Cx):242 patients took part in this survey; the total score of Functional Assessment Cancer Therapy-Cervix was 111.8. Mono factor analysis of variance showed:the patients whose age below 30 years got lower score in CCS,TOI and FACT-Cx than others, and a statistically significant differences(P<0.05); the patients whose education level were high school got lower score in SWB, and a statistically significant differences(P<0.05);The patients with complications got lower score in PWB and EWB and a statistically significant differences(P<0.05). Simple linear regression analysis showed: the length of treatment was an evidently predictive variable to PWB; complication was an evidently predictive variable to EWB.(3) Female Sexual Functioning Index (FSFI):130 patients took part in this survey, the total score of sexual function was16.8, and 84.6% of the patients had sexual dysfunction. Mono factor analysis of variance showed: the patients whose age were 30-40 years old got higher score in sexual desire, vaginal lubrication degree, sexual life satisfaction and total score, and a statistically significant differences(P< 0.05); nulliparous patients got higher score in sexual desire, vaginal lubrication degree, orgasm, sexual life satisfaction, dyspareunia and total score, and a statistically significant differences(P< 0.05); the patients who just accepted operative treatment got high score in sexual desire and dyspareunia, and a statistically significant differences(P 0.05).Simple linear regression analysis showed:age, the length of treatment, treatment methods and childbearing history were evidently predictive variables to sexual desire; age and the degree of disease were evidently predictive variables to sexual arousal; age, the length of treatment and treatment methods were evidently predictive variables to vaginal lubrication degree; Age, the length of treatment, treatment methods and degree of disease were evidently predictive variables to dyspareunia; age, treatment methods and childbearing history were evidently predictive variables to sexual dysfunction. Multi-Linear Regression Analysis showed:age and childbearing history were evidently predictive variables to sexual dysfunction.ConclusionCervical cancer survivors need continue nursing after treatment. The first time follow-up should be offered by doctor in charge within 7-14 days after the patients left hospital, and the second time follow-up should be offered by nurse-in-charge at one month after the patients left hospital, and then three months and half a year. The continue nursing should be given by telephone. For patients with no complications, continue nursing ended half a year after discharge, on the contrary, continuing nursing ended one year after discharge. Setting up continue nursing model, on the basis of patients’age, culture level, treatment time, treatment methods, complications and other factors.
