Objectives:We performed the self-control study to discusse the effect of the application of scenario simulation method on emergency technical training in emergency nurses with low seniority.Methods:1 Subjects24 nurses with low seniority of emergency department in a third-grade class-A hospital.2 methodsThe teaching material of the national university hospital of Singapore first aid skills training for nurses was treated as the standard,According to the useness of frequency of the commonly used 6 first aid skills which ware cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR), defibrillation, gastriclavage, assisting with endotracheal tube intubation, venipuncture, the usage of emergency trolley and drug,we designed three typical scene simulation cases: anaphylactic shock(AS), acute myocardial infarction(AMI), acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning(Aopp).The training lasted for 8months form February to October in 2014. At the first two months,we took single individual operating regular training, and teachers unified interpreted the operating essentials and did demonstration for all the nurses.Everyone practiced each operation for at least 3 times. At the last 6 months, the nurses were divided into groups weekly to take part in the scenario simulation to strengthen training, and then teachers reviewed everyone’s behaviors. we took assessments respectively before and after the training, including theory achievement, individual skill operation achievements, four combination operation completion time, the doctors’ satisfaction to the cooperation with nurses. All statistical analysis was performed using SPSS17.0.Results:The differences had no statistical significance in gender, age and educational background of 24 emergency nurses with low seniority(P > 0.05). The scores of theory,Single operation, completion time of four Cooperative operation, and the doctors’ satisfaction to the cooperation with nurses were improved after using the method of scene simulation(P <0.01).Conclusions: with low seniority of This study revealed that the method of scene simulation uesd in training nurses with low seniority using scenario in first aid skills could increase team cohesion,improve the ability of teamwork,and then shorten the time of training cycle, which was worth popularizing in the nurse training work in emergency department of a third-grade class-A hospital.
