OBJECTIVE: This study aims to explore the effect of scenario simulation training on the rescue training for the junior nurses in the operating room.METHODS: This study used Self-control design method. We selected typical cases of operating rooms for our scenario simulation training on 30 nurses from three secondary hospitals located in Tianjin, the training lasted for 5 months. The three typical cases we selected for the scenario simulation were: the hemorrhagic shock caused by liver and spleen rupture(supine position),the hemorrhagic shock caused by thoracic(lateral position)and asphyxia neonatorum. The typical professional skills we picked were: closed intravenous indwelling needle infusion, nasal / oral aspiration,ECG monitoring,CPR,non-Synchronized cardioversion, trachea cannula, simple use of respirator,Lateral prone position placement. The training was taken from May to September in 2015.Nurses were trained for individual skills from May to June.During this time, teachers explained the operating essentials and showed demonstration, operating standards were in accordance with the standard of " rescue operation techniques " and "50 basic care techniques Operation " given by the Health Commission. Then in the following three months from July to September one typical case training will be carried once per month. We examined the effect of the training by comparing the following items: the profession level of rescue before and after the training, the level of satisfaction with the rescue, the comprehensive time in rescue. We used SPSS20.0 statistical software for data analysis, using the mean ± standard deviation for measurement, using t test for the comparison of two groups data, and used chi-square test and found that the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).RESULTS:(1)Compared before and after the case training, the score of theoretical knowledge and skill operation improved, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)Comparing the 45 critical emergency rescue cases taken place half a year later with the 45 critical emergency rescue cases, the comprehensive time in rescue was shortened. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)Compared before and after the training, the satisfaction of doctors' withthe nurses and the nurses' with the nurses improved, and the difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).CONCLUSION:(1)After the scenario simulation training, the professional rescue level including theoretical knowledge and individual operation skills of the junior nurses in the operating room improved significantly.(2)Using scenario simulation training to train the professional ability, emergency treatment ability, management ability and communication and coordination ability, obviously shorten the actual rescue time.(3)Using scenario simulation case training, the profession level of rescue of the nurses improved, the qualification of rescue procedure also improved, then the doctor's satisfaction with the nurses and nurses self-satisfaction improved. In result, scenario simulation is an ideal way for on-the-job training.
