Abstract ObjectiveTo evaluate the occupational stress and quality of life in Coal miners’ inHeilongjiang shuangyashan qixing coal,and analyze factor of occupational stressand quality of life, discuss the correlation of occupational stress and quality oflife,provding the retical basis for control measures to reduce the level ofoccupational stress in coal miners’.improve the quality of life ensure the physicalhealth and mental of coal miners’ in coal.MethodsUsing a self-administered questionnaire and a cross sectional study wasused to collect a total of548coal miners’ in qixing coal. Occupational stressinventory-revised edition(OSI-R) and chinese version of the (SF-36) health surveyscales was used to evaluate their occupational stress and quality of life.Using SPSS17.0software for statistical analysis, One-way ANOVA was usedto compare the occupational stress and quality of life among different demographiccharacteristics. Pairwise comparisons using LSD or Dunnett test.The coal workers’occupational stress and quality of life relationship analysis was used Correlationand regression analysis.ResultsDifferent types of groups,the underground workers scored the higheroccupational stress than Inoue works. Different seniority group,the occupationalstress was the highest in15~years length of service. Different marital groups,divorced and widowed workers scored the highest in occupational stress. TheDifferent rotation system groups, rotation system workers scored the highest inoccupational occupational role and personal stain and scored the lowest inpersonal resources. Different types of groups, underground workers scored the lower physicalcomponent summary and mental component summary than the ground coalminers’., Different seniority group, the physical component summary and mentalcomponent summary were the lowest in15~years length of service. Differentmarital groups,divorced and widowed workers scored the lowest in physicalcomponent summary and mental component summary. Different rotation systemgroups,rotation system workers scored the lowest in physical componentsummary and mental component summary.Correlation analysis show that the mine workers’ quality of life had positivecorrelation with occupationalrole and personal strain,and negative correlation withpersonal resources(P<0.05). Occupational stress was inversely associated withquality of life the ccore of physical component summary and mental health willdecrease with the increasing of score of occupational role, personal strain andpersonal resources.ConclusionThe mine workers’ occupational stress had related with the jobposition,marriage, rotation system and seniority. Coal miners who have higherlevel of occupational stress would have lower quality of life.
