Objective:To understand the occupational stress and sleep quality of petroleum workers, and analyze its relationship. To research the effect of neurotransmitters for occupational stress and sleep quality in this crowd. Methods:Questionnaires on occupational stress and sleep quality were surveyed among1200petroleum workers, using randomized stratification sampling, of which178subjects were extracted randomly to test serotonin (5-HT),noradrenalin (NE),substance P(SP)and neuropeptide Y(NPY).Results:1.Occupational stress Except the role overload and role insufficiency scored in OSI-R, others were higher than the national norm(P<0.05). There are differences (P<0.05) on PSQ degree in different groups of petroleum labor crowd. There are differences (P<0.05) on PRQ degree in different groups of petroleum labor crowd.2.Sleep quality. There are differences (P<0.05) on physical environment, personal strain, physical strain and self-care in different age crowd petroleum works. Role ambiguity of different gender was significantly different(P<0.05).There are differences (P<0.05) on role boundary, personal strain, physical strain and recreation in different marital status. Physical environment of different working age was significantly different(P<0.05).Recreation of different educational background was significantly different(P<0.05).①SQI total score>7as a standard,30.65%of the petroleum workers had presence of sleep quality.②The petroleum workers’PSQI score value was (5.78±3.29)points.③Sleep quality of different marital status and working age in petroleum workers was significantly different(P<0.05).It had no statistically significant difference in sleep quality when comparison between different gender and educational background.3.Relationship between occupational stress and sleep quality Petroleum worker’s sleep quality were poor with increasing occupational stress degree in different groups (P<0.05).The sleep quality component scores correlated positively with the ORQ and PSQ (P<0.05) and correlated inversely with PRQ. Multiple logistic regression also showed that risk factors of sleep quality were working age, occupational tasks (ORQ), personal stress response(PSQ), personal coping resources(PRQ).4.Relationship belong neurotransmitters, occupational stress and sleep quality.①There are differences (P<0.05) on5-HT, NE, NPY and SP in different occupational stress degree groups.②There are differences (P<0.05) on5-HT, NE, NPY and SP in different sleep quality degree groups.③Multivariate correlation analysis showed that the occupational stress and sleep quality component scores correlated positively with the5-HT, NE and SP (P<0.05) and correlated inversely with NPY in petroleum workers(P<0.05).④Multiple logistic regression also showed that risk factors of sleep quality were working age, personal stress response(PSQ), personal coping resources(PRQ),5-HT,NPY and SP. Conclusion:Occupational stress of petroleum workers was poor. With the increasing occupational stress degree in petroleum labor crowd, PSQ increases and PRQ declines.Sleep quality is associated with occupational stress in this worker group. Neurotransmitters should affect occupational stress and sleep quality of this group. Factors affecting the sleep quality were working age, PSQ, PRQ,5-HT, NPY and SP.
