ObjectiveThe purpose of the study is to evaluate the effect of systematichealth educationon on the treatment of internet addiction disorderadolescent patients.MethodThe data of120IAD patients, diagnosed from Jan.2012toAug.2012, were investigated in the study, which were randomlydivided into intervention group and control group. The interventiongroup received the systematic health education, while the controlgroup received the ordinary health education. The self-madequestionnaire, Family adatability and cohension evaluation scales(FACES), Self-reporting Inventory (SCL-90), Internet AddictionImpairment Index (IAII) and the WHO Quality of Life Brief Scale(WHOQOL-BREF) were evaluated before and after three months oftreatment.ResultsThere were no significant differences of the two groups (p>0.05) and all intervention have been done by planning. The experimentgroup family cohesion and adaptability scores after the three month’sintervention have some significant differences (P<0.05).There weresome significant differences of IAD scores between beforeintervention and after intervention (P<0.05). Systemic healtheducation can significantly improve the psychological health andquality of life, which is better than the control groups (P<0.05).Thecontrol group have no significant differences in all investigation(P>0.05).ConclusionsSystemic health education can effectively reduce the bad habitsand behavior of using the network in IAD patients, which then improvethe Internet addiction. The application of systemic health education inthe field of IAD provides certain theoretical basis in the future.
