Objective:To explore the correlation of allergic rhinitis TCM syndrome types and IL-6, and to provide laboratory reference basis for traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation and new research ideas for the treatment.Methods:80AR cases were selected, and according to certain standards of Chinese and western medicine diagnosis, the types of traditional Chinese medicine were determined. The serum IL-6and IgE test data were analyzed by statistical science methods. The relation between TCM syndrome types and IL-6was explored furthermore. Results:In this paper, the four syndrome types of AR patients’serum IL-6and serum IgE index have no obvious difference; nasal symptoms such as nasal itching, nasal congestion, runny nose and sneezing is also no significant differences. Inferior turbinate swelling degree grading distribution are among the four types with statistically significant. Nasal mucosa colors of the four are different significantly:lung qi deficiency and spleen deficiency patients’ nasal mucosa are white; and lung heat patients’nasal mucosa are red. The mean serum IgE were higher than normal, and IgE numerical distribution were different among the four types: spleen qi deficiency type is higher than kidney yang deficiency. Four types’serum IL-6are belong to the normal category without significant difference. IL-6numerical between spleen qi deficiency type and kidney yang deficiency type are different. Conclusion:There is no difference of serum IL-6in allergic rhinitis among TCM syndrome types.
