Clinical Observation Of Acute Sprain Of Lateral Ligament Treated With Tianbai Jinhuang Powder

Objectives:To explore the clinical effect and safety of Tianbai Jinhuang Powder in treating acute ankle joint lateral ligament damage.Methods:From January2013to January2014,80patients with acute lateral ankle ligament injury were randomly divided into the test group (Jinhuang Powder group) and the control group (Haojishi group)。And we graded the treating index before and after treatment, then made an analysis and evaluation.Results:①The difference was significant in treatment after3days and7days on swelling, and the test group have advantage in reducing inflammation, with no difference in the two groups on the14th day.②The difference was significant in treatment after7days on tenderness, and the test group has a better effect on pain relief, with no difference in the two groups on the third and14th day.③The Kofoed ankle function score in the test group was significantly higher than the score in the control group in treatment on the third day and on the7th day, with no difference in the two groups on the14th day.④Allergic skin reactions occurred in three cases with the symptom of rash and skin itching in the test group, and the three patients got symptomatic relief after treatment and successfully complete the test.Conclusion:Tianbai Jinhuang Powder has a good effect in curing acute lateral ankle ligament injury, for which has the advantage in reducing swelling, relieving pain, safety and convenient, and promoting recovery of joint function, worthy of promotion and application.
