The Analysis Of Mortality Caused By Malignant Tumors During2008-2012in Qingdao

Objective:To analysis the mortality caused by malignant tumors in Qingdao during2008-2012, and to provide basic information for the prevention and control of cancer in the area.Methods:The data of malignant tumor mortality were collected and analysed. The relevant indicators were calculated by year, age and gender. We described and analysed the impacts on people and the epidemic trend of cancer mortality.Result:During2008-2012in Qingdao, Malignant tumor was the leading cause of death of the residents with accounting for27.75%of total deaths, the median age of death was68.78years old, the crude mortality rate was188.17per100,000(male243.94per100,000, female132.29per100,000); the standardized mortality rate was159.42per100,000; the intercept standardized mortality rate was152.00per100,000in35-64years group, the cumulative mortality rate in0-64years group and0-74years group were5.75%and13.06%respectively, the top five mortality rate of cancers were lung, liver, gastric, colorectal and anal, and oesophageal cancer. During the five years, the rude mortality rate of cancer had no obvious change, while the standard rate declined slightly during the five years; the lung cancer increased during the five years, the death rate of breast cancer in female and liver cancer declined and the deaths caused by other common cancers had no obvious change; the main death causes in cancer had no obvious change. During2008-2012, the PYLL of cancers was510603person-year in Qingdao, which ranked first in the rank order of PYLL. The SPYLL was174343.50person-year, the SPYLLR was11.06%and the AYLL was13.59years. The top five causes of life lost and life expectancy were liver, lung, stomach, leukemia and breast cancer. While leukemia, cervical cancer, breast cancer, nasopharyngeal carcinoma and liver cancer were the top five causes of causes of life lost and life expectancy with accounting for25.58years, 18.44years,16.85years,11.64years and11.64years for AYLL, respectively.Conclusions:During2008-2012, both crude and standard cancer mortality rate in Qingdao are higher than those of the national average and Shandong province’s average. Lung cancer and digestive system cancer should be the focus on malignant prevention in Qingdao. Since the middle age and elder group, especially in the male in this group, is the risk group of cancer death, more attentions should be paid to the healthcare of them.
