ObjectiveTo provide the exact clinical basis for the treatment of acne vulgaris through the comparison between the therapy of acupoint catgut embedding and Chinese Herbs.Methods66patients selected according to elimination, excluding standard were divided into two groups randomly. The33patients of treatment group were treated by the therapy of acupoint catgut embedding one time a week, the other33patients of control group treated by Chinese Herbs two times everyday except Sunday. The total course of treatment are12weeks. Observe and record the detail number of acne, pimple, pustule, nodule, cyst after the6th week and12th respectively. Make a conclusion according to "the Chinese medicine new medicine clinical research guiding principle","Chinese herbal medicine new medicine clinical research guiding principles for the treatment of acne standard of curative effect evaluation".Results①5cases dropped from treatment group and2cases from control group. Finally, the actual cases of the two groups is28cases and31cases respectively;②The treatment group:cure rate7.14%, efficiency of57.14%, effective rate21.43%, no efficiency14.29%, total effective rate was85.71%; The control group:cure rate of9.68%, the efficiency32.25%, effective rate38.71%, no efficiency by19.35%, total effective rate was80.65%;③At the end of6weeks treatment, the effective rate of the control group was64.52%, the treatment group was39.29%, these results show statistical significance (P=0.00<0.01); After12weeks of treatment:embedded wire therapy effectiveness was85.71%, the other group was80.65%. Conclusion①The therapy of·acupoint catgut embedding and Chinese Herbs showed remarkable curative effect in the treatment of acne vulgaris;②the therapy of Chinese Herbs had an advantage compared to acupoint catgut embedding at the end of6weeks, On the contrary, the latter showed outstanding curative effect in the treatment of acne.
