The Study Of The Combination Of The Fire-needle And Jin’3-needle Therapy On The Shoulder-hand Syndrome After Stroke

ObjectiveTo investigate the clinical efficacy of the combination of the fire-needle and Jin’3-needle therapy on SHS patients, and provide evidence of therapy on shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke.MethodsThe qualified testees were divided into treatment group and matched group randomly. The treatment group was treated with fire-needle therapy and the matched group was treated with Jin’3-needle therapy. NDS, Fugl-Meyer Assessment (FMA),VAS and Barthel Index are used to verify the changes of neurologic impairment, Fugl-Meyer function, pain and activity of daily life after21days of therapy.ResultsThe data shows that the difference of the gender, age, causative factor in the testees are not statistically significant (P>0.05). Comparing the data of NDS, FMA, VAS, Bathel of the two groups before therapy, the patients’ condition shows no obvious difference. Comparability is reliable (P>0.05). The difference between the two groups after therapy is statistically significant (P<0.05). In the data of the two groups, VAS and NDS score decrease, FMA and Bathel score increase. It means that the pain eases, neurological function recovers, Fugl-Meyer function improves, and daily life function gets better. The effective rate of the treatment group is94%, which is higher than the matched group77%. The difference in statistics is significant.The patients in treatment group suffered shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke cure heals well by the combination of the fire-needle and Jin’3-needle therapy. It indicates that the fire-needle and Jin’3-needle therapy takes effects on the recovery of the Fugl-Meyer function, and the result shows the strong synergism of the fire-needle and Jin’3-needle.ConclusionThe data shows that Jin’3-needle therapy takes effect on the shoulder-hand syndrome after stroke. But effect strengthen after the fire-needle was used together. It is worthy to spread the method in clinic as it make sense to improve the patients’ activity of daily living.
