Clinical Research Of Fire Needle Combined With Electroacupuncture Therapy In The Treatment Of The Shoulder-Hand Syndrome After Wind Stroke

ObjectiveTo assess the clinical effect of the Fire needle combined with electro acupuncture therapy for treating the Shoulder-Hand Syndrome after the stroke. Compare the efficacy of the two groups by the method of randomized controlled trials. The objective is to apply a better and more effective method for treating SHS after Stroke.Methods60 cases who diagnosed as shoulder-hand syndrome (SHS), were randomly divided into two groups. One is the fire needle combined with the electro acupuncture treatment group. The other is the contrast group. There are 30 cases in each of the group. Both treatments last for 4 weeks. Then the symptoms and signs before and after treatment, VAS score changes, upper limb motor function score, ADL score, and shoulder-hand syndrome score were observed. In order to put forward a relatively optimal solution for SHS, DME and statistical analysis are used to compare the efficacy of the test group and the contrast group.ResultsAfter 4 weeks of the treatment, two groups of patients’daily activity ability (ADL) score compared with the score 4 weeks ago, there are no statistically significant difference (P>0.05); compared the Fugl-Meyer score after treatment with the score before treatment, both the test group and the contrast group were improved. The difference between the score of two groups after treatment has statistical significance (P< 0.01); Compared the VAS scores before and after treatment, two groups were improved after treatments, and the difference between the score of the two groups after treatment has statistical significance (P<0.01); Compared with before the treatment, the Shoulder hand syndrome score (SHS) of both two groups were significantly improved, The difference between the score of two groups after treatment has statistical significance.ConclusionBoth the test group (fire needle+ electro acupuncture group) and the contrast group (electric acupuncture group) for SHS after Stroke have a good therapeutic effect. The fire needle+ electro acupuncture treatment can improve upper limb movement function and relieve the pain. The treatment effect is superior to conventional electric acupuncture. Fire needle combined with electric acupuncture treatment for Shoulder-hand syndrome after Stroke has an exact clinical curative effect, and it is simple to operate. Besides it is safe for popularization.
