ObjectiveAdvancing the basic pathogenesis of PCI is " wind-dryness injuring yin-fluid", this paper observes the clinical efficacy, the change of TCM syndrome score and CQLQ score in PCI patients treated from dispelling wind and moistening dryness. The purpse of this study is to improve the efficacy, optimize the treatment plan, reduce the abuse of antibiotics, thus bring the superiority of traditional Chinese medicine into PCI.MethodsThe included60cases of PCI were randomly separated into treatment group and control group. The second group was treated with western medicine (Compound Methoxyphenamine Hydrochloride Capsules p. o2#tid; Pentoxyverine Citrate Tablets1#tid).The treatment group was treated with Supplemented Sang-Xing Tang (Mulberry Leaf10g, Thunberg Fritillary Bulb15g, Apricot Kernel15g, Radix Glehniae15g, Loquat Leaf15g, Cortex Mori10g, Bombyx Batryticatus10g, Radix Ophiopogonis15g, Rhizoma Anemarrhenae10g, salvia miltiorrhiza15g, licorice6g, jujube15g). We select seven symptoms and signs based on the feature of the disease, including cough and throat-drying ect, divide them into four grades of "0,+,++,+++" according to the severity, and quantify them as "0score,1score,2score,3score" correspondingly. Last, analyze the clinical efficacy, the change of TCM syndrome score and CQLQ score contrastively.Results1.Clinical efficacy comparison of the two groups:Two groups after treatment have statistically significant difference in comparison before and after the treatment。But, the treatment group’s total score is significantly lower than the control group and has faster action.2. Visual analogue scale:Two groups after treatment have statistically significant difference in comparison before and after the treatment. But, the treatment group’s total VAS score is significantly lower than the control group.3. Comparison of the change of TCM syndrome score:After treatment, both the treatment group and the control group have statistically significant difference in comparison before and after the treatment。Both the total and each syndrome points of the treatment group are significantly lower than the control group, especially in suffocative catarrh, dry throat, sore throat and pharyngeal signs.4.Comparison of the CQLQ score:Two groups after treatment have statistically significant difference in comparison before and after the treatment. But, the total CQLQ points of the experimental group is significantly lower than the control group.Conclusion1. The symptoms and signs of two groups have been improved, and have significant difference compared to treated before. It is effective to treat PCI either in simple Western medicine or Chinese medicine.2. Compared to the control group, we can achieve better clinical effect in treating PCI with Supplemented Sang-Xing Tang in the treatment group.
