The treatment of this disease by western medicine is mainly to promote the recovery of neurological function, to improve local circulation and to relieve anxiety in patients. The main drugs are vasodilator drugs, antidepressants and neurotrophic drugs, etc. Physical therapy includes taken masking therapy, acclimatization therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy. The efficacy of these therapies is present inaccurate and long-term effect of these therapies is not ideal shortcomings. Therefore, the treatment has become one of the important research areas of Otology.Chinese medicine believes that tinnitus is caused mostly by functional disorders in liver, spleen, kidney, heart and other organs. It combined with modern topical stimulation of acupuncture point injection therapy is better. Therefore, this issue studied the effect of tinnitus by electro-acupuncture with injection acupuncture in contrast with the simple electro-acupuncture treatment by tinnitus severity scale for patients, tinnitus Disability Assessment Scale (THI), quality of life scale, self-rating Anxiety Scale, self-rating depression scale and the side effects scale. This issue hoped to sum a method effectively relieves tinnitus symptoms, reduces patient pain and relieves stress and to seek out a clinical treatment to provide a broader idea of tinnitus treatment.ObjectiveTo observe the clinical efficacy of acupuncture combined with acupoint injection therapy in tinnitus and summarize the risk factors and performance law of tinnitus by studying the ancient literature and clinical observations of tinnitus.MethodsA prospective randomized study were used.60cases according with diagnostic criteria, inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria were selected and divided into a cured group (30cases) and a compared group (30cases).The cured group was cured by electro-acupuncture combined with acupoint injection therapy. The main points in acupuncture were Ermen, Tinggong, Tinghui, Yifeng, Zhongzhu, Xiaxi. Erimen with Tinghui, Tinggong with Yifeng were alternately selected as injection acupoint. Vitamin B120.5ml were used per injection. The control group used a simple electro-acupuncture treatment, as the same methods with electro-acupuncture in cured group. All patients were treated3times a week, one week as a course of treatment. Three courses were treated. Effects were observed after three courses of treatment..Tinnitus severity scale for patients, tinnitus Disability Assessment Scale (THI), quality of life scale, self-rating Anxiety Scale, self-rating depression scale and the side effects scale were evaluated.Results1. The onset of tinnitus is independent of age. Most of the patients had medical needs were about30-50years old with low education, low-income mental patients. The noisy work environment impacted on tinnitus onset.2. Tinnitus patients were mostly spleen deficiency and had a strong desire for treatment within a year. Tinnitus performed a high loudness and alt tune, accompanied a large proportion of hearing loss.3. Electro-acupuncture combined with acupoint injection therapy had a significant effect on tinnitus and the total effective rate was83.33%.4. Electro-acupuncture combined with acupoint injection therapy had better efficacy on wind-heat intrusion, spleen and stomach debility and kidney essence deficiency.5. Electro-acupuncture combined with acupoint injection therapy obviously improved the patient’s degree of tinnitus disability, quality of life, anxiety and depression volume status.6. Electro-acupuncture combined with acupoint injection therapy had not side effects and was very safe.ConclusionsElectro-acupuncture combined with acupoint injection therapy can significantly improve symptoms of tinnitus, improve the therapeutic effect and is safe without side effects. It can be easily accepted by patients and is worthy of clinical application. The tinnitus patients have different degrees of depression and anxiety which need more attention, so appropriate psychological counseling may be used to promote the rehabilitation of tinnitus. |
