ObjectiveOn the basis of consulting recent ten years pertinent literature about acupuncture therapy on infantile enuresis, to exert some methods of documentation collation and research such as contrast, analysis and induction, arranging some staple treatment means and research approaches about that. The purpose of the study aims at understanding the current situation of the literatures completely, evaluating the quality of literatures, finding out the curative effects and progress and then finally providing the basis of acupuncture therapy on infantile enuresis.MethodsUse pinprick, needle, acupoints, enuresis and their synonymous as the search terms to retrieve the China Academic Journal, VIP database and wan fang database. Search the articles about acupuncture therapy on infantile enuresis which period from January2003to December2012. Integration of patients with infantile enuresis as object of study, and several randomized controlled trails of the therapeutic effect of acupuncture, then extract and check cross information by two valuators, and Revman5.2Software was used for Meta-analysis of the quality of these literatures in accordance with Cochrane Handbook5.2.0standards.ResultsSeveral randomized controlled trails with a total of811patients were included in9randomized controlled trails which are off quality literatures. Meta-analysis shows that acupuncture in the treatment of infantile enuresis shows certain clinical advantages on the TCM symptoms.ConelusionThere were no clinical study reports about acupuncture in the treatment of infantile enuresis with high quality currently, and positive conclusions about the curative effect could not be showed. Several randomized controlled trails with large sample and good quality are needed to further the clinical effects of acupuncture in the treatment of infantile enuresis.
