Objective To explore what kind of role homocysteine play in the relationshipbetween Type D Personality and hypertension. Methods Select from August2012to October2013in the second affiliatedhospital of Dalian Medical University,128patients diagnosed with essentialhypertension, all patients were in line with2010,"Chinese Hypertension PreventionGuide" diagnostic criteria. According to the score of Type D Personality scale (DS14),The subjects were divided into the group with Type D Personality [one of DS14subscales, negative affectivity (NA)≥10scores and the other subscale, social inhibition(SI)≥10scores;40cases] and the one without Type D Personality (the rest subjects;88cases).128patients were recorded the average blood pressure values of a calm state, fasting and no medication after admitteing to hospital on the second day. Plasma levelsof homocysteine in all128hypertension patients were measured with ELISA; plasmahomocysteine levels for all128cases hospitalized patients with hypertension, highplasma homocysteine(Hcy≥10μmol/L,96cases), normal homocysteine (Hcy<10μmol/L,32cases). We have excluded the cases of acute myocardial infarction, diabetes, various acute and chronic inflammation, connective tissue disease, cancer, rheumatic heart disease, kidney disease, age older than75years old and so on.Comparison group differences in blood pressure and homocysteine levels. Cardiovascular risk factors of Type D personality with hypertension made Logisticregression analysis. All results were statistically analyzed using SPSS19.0software, P<0.05was considered statistically significant.Results1. Type D personality group and non-group D personality systolic bloodpressure (SBP) was184.20±10.81mmHg,180.00±11.44mmHg (P <0.05), diastolicblood pressure (DBP) were83.90±10.98mmHg,80.54±14.08mmHg (P>0.05).2. High homocysteine group and homocysteine levels were normalsystolic blood pressure (SBP) was183.72±11.79mmHg,180.76±11.02mmHg (P<0.05), diastolic blood pressure (DBP) were81.45±11.54mmHg,81.66±14.13mmHg(P>0.05).3.The Plasma homocysteine levels of the group with Type D and without Type D inhypertension patients19.40±11.479μmol/L、13.61±7.768μmol/L(P<0.05).4.Logstic regression analysis of Type D personality and hypertension risk factorsshowed that SBP, TG, Hcy and neck vascular plaque is related to risk factors of type Dpersonality with hypertension.Conclusion1. Type D personality is one of the factors that influence blood pressurecontrol in patients with hypertension and type D personality in systolic blood pressurecontrol in hypertensive patients was significantly higher than among the non-poor effectsof type D personality.2. Plasma homocysteine play a crucial role of hypertension development, andhigh homocysteine in patients with systolic blood pressure is more obvious effects.3.The high level Plasma homocysteine levels may plays an important role inpathogenesis of elationship between Type D Personality and hypertension prognosis.
