Objective: To provide basis for clinical treatment, according to study the regularity of TCM syndrome classification and clinical physical and chemical indicators in female patients with hypertension. Methods: Modified Delphi Method was used to obtain expert opinions on TCM syndrome classification. 357 female patients with hypertension who were treated in our department from January, 2013 to November, 2015 were included in our study. The average materials, TCM diagnosis, plasma homocysteine, renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system related hormone levels were collected and analyzed by statistical methods. Results:Among TCM syndromes of female hypertension patients, Yin deficiency syndrome Yang excess syndrome, phlegm and blood stasis syndrome, Live-Fire Ascending Syndrome, Liver-Qi Stagnation Syndrome, less of Chong and Ren Syndrome were more common. Our study included 357 patients with a mean age of 65.6 and a mean disease course of 12.04 years. Stage 2 and 3 hypertension dominated a high ratio. The average of Hcy in 344 patients is 14.287 mu mol/L, 288 of 344(83.72%)patients' Hcy is 10 umol/L or higher. The level of Hcy is significantly higher in syndrome of phlegm-heat blocking internally than other TCM diagnosis. The average renin activity of 133 patients is 2.85 ng/ml/hr.The average angiotensin ?(37 ?) of 133 patients is 5.28 ng/ml. The average angiotensin ?(4 ?) of 133 patients is 1.26 ng/ml. The average renin quantitative of 38 patients is 13.09 pg/ml.The average angiotensin ?of 38 patients is 150.75 pg/ml. The average aldosterone quantitative of 171 patients is 205.123 pg/ml. There is no significant difference among TCM syndromes on RAAS. And no significant linear correlation between Hcy and RAAS was found.Conclusion:1.The common TCM syndromes of female hypertension are Yin deficiency syndrome Yang excess syndrome, phlegm and blood stasis syndrome, Live-Fire Ascending Syndrome,Liver-Qi Stagnation Syndrome, less of Chong and Ren Syndrome. 2.The average age of 357 cases of patients is 65.5 years. The average duration of 357 cases of patients is 12.04 years. The blood pressure of 357 cases of patients is in the majority with ?, ? class. 3. Most of female hypertension belong to H-type hypertension. The level of Hcy is significantly higher in syndrome of phlegm-heat blocking internally than other TCM diagnosis. There are correlations between higher Hcy and “phlegm”, “stasis”, “virtual”. 4. RAAS of most female hypertension patients is at normal levels. There is no significant difference among TCM syndromes on RAAS. 5. No significant linear correlation between Hcy and RAAS was found.
