The All Ceramic Restorations Of Tooth Defect Case Analysis Report

Objective: Through the five clinic cases to know the clinical operational and effect ofall ceramic restorative to the tooth defect, and the application of all ceramic restorative.Methods:There are5cases of all-ceramic restorative treatment cases were selected in the clinical.Case1: the front teeth were tetracycline pigmentation teeth, patients need treatment after the RCT(root canal therapy). Case2: The anterior teeth have been repaired manytimes. Case3and4: the old restoration did not close to the abutment, and theperiodontal was swelling. case5:The old restorative was removed because of the apicalperiodontitis of abutment.The patients of all above cases are according to clinical reception, oral examination,treatment planning, tooth preparation、taking impression、prosthesis production andcompletion、try-in、 follow-up observation. First of all, we must ensure that theabutment is health, and non vital teeth must complete RCT, and root apex withoutinflammation. If the patient has systemic diseases, such as Hypertension, cardiopathyand diabetes, should be properly controlled. We should introduce every step to avoidthe patient nervous during the restorative. We should gingival retraction before thetooth preparation. Good gingival retraction not only can avoid the gums from damagebut also provide a clear view to the tooth preparation. It’s very important tocommunication with the patient when the shade selection step.After restorative weshould explain the oral care and the use of restoration notes to the patient to ensure itsservice life.ResultAfter3-6months following-up observation, All ceramic restorations solves thegingival swelling，and it makes patient be satisfaction in function, shape and color, theoral and maxillofacial system back to health.1.These five cases were treated with zirconia crown, after3-6months observation thereis not an abnormal phenomenon in gingival.2.From the five patient’s messages we know that a Qualified prosthesis not onlyrequire good function, but also want the restorations make them more attractive.Shade selection is very important in restoration. It must be harmonize well with othertooth, then the restoration will be more realistic and beautiful.Conclusions:These five cases were treated with zirconic crown which solve the problem such asthe gum discoloration of anterior PFM. Some of these cases were used fiber post to reinforce the restoration. And its elastic modulus close to dentin, so it is beneficial tostress conduction to the root surface, relieve dentin stress, and reduce the incidence ofroot fold. The selection of binders is very important to improve the success rate of therestorative. The composite resin binder usually be used in all ceramic restorationsbecause of its advantage such as high strength, strong adhesion and insoluble inwater.As a qualified dentists we should use systematic clinical treatment and choosesuitable materials to provide our patients with a healthy, beautiful and artificialrestoration.
