Objectives:To observe the application of chair-side CEREC~? CAD/CAM system and machinable dental ceramic in dental or dentition defect.Discuss the advantages of laser andevaluate the initial clinical efficacy of CEREC~? system with the assistance of laser.Methods:The related literature and scientific data were reviewed. According to oral conditions and recording of radiological examinations, patients with dental or dentition defect who came to Xiamen Dental Hospital in the last two years were treated as participants and given treatment plans. It is that using CEREC~?System design and manufacture during the process, meanwhile assisting with laser. After 3 months' treatment, use the reformed U.S. public health service evaluation system to evaluate the aesthetics, success rate and clinical effect of restoration.Results:Chairside CEREC~? CAD/CAM can solve dental or dentition defect quickly, andthe prosthesis in place smoothly, marginal integrity, which hasa good aesthetic effect.During operation laser cutting tissue, the treatment had the advantages of less bleeding, clear vision, less trauma, high precision less pain and rapid healing;patients were satisfied with the effect of treatment, and after postoperation it occurs less dentin hypersensitivity.Conclusions:CEREC~? CAD/CAM system and machinable dental ceramic meet the requirement in esthetic and function of patients. Moreover, the application of laser can improve the comfort level and reduce adverse reactions during in restoration process. However, the long-term clinical performance is still worthy of further investigation.
