Objective To compare clinical features between Tibetan breast cancer patients andHan breast cancer patients in Qinghai Area,to analyze whether there are differentexpression level for HIF-1αand HIF-2α among breast cancer tissues of Tibetan andHan breast cancer patients. The research will provide a scientific basis for diagnosisand treatment in Breat Cancer. Methods Data of100breast cancer cases of Tibetan and Han patients werecollected respectively from the Affiliated hosptial of Qinghai university from January2001to December2012.Statistical analysis was carried out on the onset of age、tumorlocation、age of menarche、age of menopause、the time interval from symptoms todiagnosis、pathological type、primary tumor size、regional lymph nodes、clinicalstages、molecular classification、the risk of cancer’s returning after surgeryERexpression、PR expression and Her-2expression.The resection20Tibetan and40Hancases specimen of paraffin wax were choosed during January2012to December2012,all the specimens were at clinical Ⅱ stage or Ⅲstage. The expression level ofHIF-1αand HIF-2αwere detected and compared by immunohistochemical method, andthe result will be analyzed statistically.Results1.The results showed there were significant difference between Tibetan andHan patients:the age of onset, primary tumor size and the time interval from symptoms to diagnosis. The following items were no significant difference betweenTibetan and Han patients: menarche age, postmenopausal age, primary tumorlocation, pathological type, lymph node metastasis, clinical stage and the risk ofrecurrence.2.There were significant difference of Her-2expression level andmolecular typing form between Tibetan and Han patients. There were no significantdifference of ER and PR expression levels between Tibetan and Han patients.3.TheTibetan and Han patients with HIF-1α expression level was statisticallysignificant. There were no significant difference of HIF-2α expression level betweenTibetan and Han patients in Breast cancer.Conclusion1.Primary tumor size are bigger in Tibetan patients than Hanpatients, especially the≧5cm of lumps. Tibetan patients have much higherproportion of young patients than Han paitents.Tibetan patients have longer timeinterval for seeing a docotor than Han patients.2. Tibetan breast tissue is higer Her-2expression level than Han.In molecular typing forms, the type of basal-like is moreexpression in Tibetan breast tissue than Han.3.Han breast tissue is higer HIF-1αexpression level than Han.HIF-2α has the same expression level between Tibetanand Han patients.
