Objective: To study and compared the differences about molecular subtype betweenUygur and Han patients with breast cancer. Methods: We used the new typing standard(2011St. Gallen) to classify the molecular subtype of170breast caner cases.4immunohistochemical (IHC) markers (ER, PR, HER-2and KI-67) were used to divideUygur and Han breast cancer patients into4subtypes (Luminal A, Luminal B, HER-2over expression and Basal-like), respectively. Then statistical analysis were used toevaluate difference in molecular subtype characteristics by race, tumor size, age of onset, menstruation and birth status, histological grade and lymph node metastasis. Results: TheUygur patients had higher proportions of tumor grade Ⅲ, age of onset less than35yearsin subtype HER-2overexpression, age of menarche older than15years in subtypeBasal-like and menopause in subtype Luminal B. The tumor grade was different in4subtypes. The tumor size in Luminal A and Luminal B were different between Han andUygur, Uygur patients had high proportion in large tumor. Conclusions: Our result showsthat there are some difference between Uygur and Han in the pathological features andmolecular subtypes. Compared with Han, Uygur patients had some poor prognosisfeatures.
