Background:For studying the Computer-assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) sample method to using the coverage survey,we selected a county and do the coverage survey by the CATI sample and no-home method, in order to get more information for the national survey in future.Objective To explore the evaluation method of vaccine coverage for county by using Computer-assisted Telephone Interviewing(CATI) and No-home SurveyMethods By CATI, we determined the1-year-old,2-year-old100as the target,then through the Child immunization information system, we collected the target children vaccines information of the National Expanded Program on Immunization (NEPI) and got coverage,with comparing Probabili ty Proportional to Size (PPS) surveyResults In pre-survey, we called1060phone numbers and finished30samples,contact rate was35.3:1. In survey,we called8040numbers from118173numbers and got215samples,found206samples immunization information by the Child immunization information system in Jiayu. Contact rate is37.2:1. Recording review rate of successful samples was92.70%.In206samples, the proportion of1-year-old group and2-year-old group of children were52.43%and47.57%, male and female were52.91%and47.09%.ln206respondents, the proportion of local and nonlocal was92.23%and7.77%.the lather, mother and other parents were41.26%.31.55%and27.19%.100%respondents said their children were vaccinated and96.17%had vaccination certificate, the71.36%target children of the last time vaccination were in Yuyue town of Jiayu county. accompanied by mothers,93.20%of the respondents said their children had vaccinated the second type of vaccine.By telephone survey,we found every family owned2.2mobile phones. On the telephone survey acceptance,94.66%respondents accepted.the Chi-square test indicated that the acceptance is significant differences in children’s father and mother.we call8040cell phone numbers and get215samples,206targeted children founded by the Child immunization information system. The PPS survey get420samples. Two methods by chi-square test show in one-year age group, the vaccine coverage exist significant difference (P<0.05) on MenA、OPV3、the fully immunization of OPV、four and five vaccines:in two-years age group, the vaccine coverage exist significant difference (P<0.05) on DPT4、 MCV2、JEV2and HepA. there was no statistical learning difference in the rest of the vaccine.Conclusions The CATI mobile phone sampling and non-home vaccine coverage survey method can be used to the children vaccine coverage survey for county-level.
