Study On Food Safety Supervision In Diqing Prefecture

As a necessity of human’s survival, gaining safe, healthy and nutritious food is the right of each individual. The frequent occurrence of food safety problems in late years makes it a hot topic. The food safety issue involves a wide range of factors that harm consumers’health; it also disturbs and threatens the state’s economic development and the harmony and stability of the society. Hence, the food safety is very much a live issue, which is concerned by food producers, operators, consumers and governments. Compared to developed countries, the supervision of food safety in our country started too late and has many problems, which also prevail in Diqing Prefecture. To enclose the food safety to the public safety strategy on state and local levels, to establish food safety management system possesses great implication.The author has been undertaking the work of industry and commerce administration, and learns of all sorts of food safety issues, and has practical experiences of the supervision of food safety. Three years study of MPA equips me with the discipline of public administration, establishes the foundation of practical work and relevant research with the theory of public administration. The author strives to explore the construction of the food safety system supervision at local and state level.This paper includes5parts:the introduction is of the background, goal, implication, methodologies, and the literature review; the second part expounds the relevant theories of food safety supervision; the third chapter analyses the current situation of food safety supervision in Diqing Prefecture, the achievements, means and problems of this issue; the fourth part elaborates the problems of food safety supervision in Diqing Prefecture; the final chapter provides related measures and suggestion for reference for the food safety supervision of Diqing Prefecture.
