Study On Food Safety Supervision In Kunming Production

As the first step of the food safety regulation chain, food processing plays a key role in thewhole system. It is also the main focus of relevant government regulation sector. Effectivemonitoring is required by risk assessing, if government cannot respond immediately, food safetyregulation is meaningless.Nowadays, food processing industry is prospective and booming. Due to the lack ofprofession standard, insufficient regulation and monitor, risk communication delay, and high costs,food processing entities have various problems, such as aiming to profit only, putting negativeattitudes towards food safety. It is become universal to use additive these days, but overuse ofadditive will damage the safety of consumers. For food safety regulation sector, the problem theyare facing is severely.According to direction of18th meeting, in2013relevant government department onproduction, distribution and consumption regulatory will be integrated to solve the problem ofdiversity of duty and redundancy of regulatory system. In March of2014, on the12th secondmeeting, food safety was voted as the5th hot topic. Premier Li claimed in government report that‘adhere to legislation, sufficient inspection, strict penalty and seek for accountability, we arefirmly solving our food safety problems.’ This signals the faith of government on food safetyissues.Relied on all the above, this article take Kunming as an example, based on existing foodsafety reports published by other researchers and investigation methods were used to form point ofview on food regulatory on production stage. In the following part, Kunming food safetysupervision and experience from exam states was studied and analyzed to demonstrate my opinionand advice; for instants, enforce monitoring risk at production stage, encourage entities to reducecost by economies of scale, build the inspection net to realize multilevel monitor, increase industrycreditability, and set up industry benchmark.
