Research On The Supervision Of Safety Standard In The Food Production And Processing Of Meizhou

Food safety standard is an important content in the legal systems of food safety supervision, by which the government agencies could effectively carry out food safety regulation & administration for the purpose of governing the food safety. at this stand, positively addressing the food safety incidents, progressively solving the problem of supervision on food safety standards plus furthermore improving the technical level of China’s food safety standards, increasingly consititute the major challenges for China’s government. Currently, with the rising of various food safety problems, it is of great importance to upgrade the food safety supervision through perfecting the food safety standards system. for this reason, new ideas and new mode for the food safety standards governance are in need of constructive exploration for safeguarding people’s diet safety, maintaining social stability and furthermore building the harmonious society. As to the city of Meizhou, benefitting from it’s advantageous location, good environment for the development of “Green Food Industry”, it enjoys the great reputation of "Golden Pomelo Town, Hakka Cuisine Town, Dancong Tea Town"; and these priorities accordingly cause great bonus for local economic development. At the same time, it is a difficulty work to promote the regulation & administration on the food safety standardization, especially confronting a large number small and middle enterprises for food industry. Under this circumstance, both the opportunities and threats coexists in the standardization of local food safety. Therefore, this paper tries to analyze the necessity of food safety standards to the problem solving of food safety supervision, and then to concisely define the regulatory enforcement status and the related implementation problems of food safety standards, with the full use of comparative analysis, case analysis and on the other research methods and referring to the domestic and foreign experience. Finally this paper will explore the feasible countermeasures for perfecting the food safety supervision of Meizhou so as to achieving the given goals for food safety governance in Mezhou, and furthermore to improve the international competitiveness of Meizhou’s local food industry.
