| With the increasing development of the media, the information has achieved higher dissemination efficiency and multiple dissemination channels. Facing the huge flow of information, the audience needs powerful and professional senders of information with higher standards. In comparison with the interviewer, the reporter-host is a combination of reporter and interviewer who engages in the whole process of the program creation. The reporter-hosts have fully taken advantage of themselves in the current reform of the media and have won more and more attentions of the academic and industrial. The CCTV’s News Probe, established in 1996, is the first column that applies the reporters and interviewers and places them into the center of the program creation with a broad developing platform. During the 20 years development, the News Probe has cultivated many excellent reporter-hosts. This paper analyzes the narrative strategies of the reporter-host of News Probe and explores the way in which the reporter-host, as the investigation performer and the news narrator, conveys news in the form of a story and makes the audience focus on the whole process of the news rather than the result of the event. The reporter-hosts pay more attention to the plot of the news and the direction of the narration. The paper discusses the reporterhost from the aspect of narration to expand the research and guide the theory-building and practical operation of the reporter-host.This paper comprehensively analyzes and concludes the narrative process of the reporter-host of News Probe through the methods of literature research, text analysis and case analysis. The method of literature research achieves relevant online information through literature retrieval tools such as index,arranges the frame of this research and enriches the research contents, which makes the research much clearer. The method of text analysis analyzes language contents of the reporter-host of News Probe and gets the way in which the reporter-host, as the narrator, tells the story. Trough watching abundant 20 years representative programs of News Probe, the method of case analysis has analyzed the reporter-host’s narrative behavior, and finally drawn an conclusion.This paper consists of three parts. The first part describes the developing process of the News Probe and the reporter-host, and analyzes the every link of the program operation with the reporter-host as its core creator. This part also makes a list of the reporter-host with distinct personalities during the different developing periods and gets the conclusion that the reporter and interviewer of Investigative Journalism shoulders the task of telling the news with distinct narrative characteristics. The second part is the focus of this paper and is mainly about narrative strategies of the reporter-host of News Probe. Through the analysis of the language contexts of the reporter-host, this part concludes that the narrative strategies, such as equality, conflict, suspense and scheduling, play a crucial role in telling the news. The third part, based on the conclusion of the second part, analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of narrative strategies in the perspective of audience dissemination and puts forward a strategy for improvement. This part thinks deeply about the developing trends of the reporter-host from the aspect of media convergence, and achieves the conclusion that the reporter-host should apply new media, adapt the changes of TV technology and pay attention to the data. |
