Obituary has a centuries-old development in China, however, obituaries that have reported from Chinesemedia just in recent years. Have affected on "New Journalism", Obituaries'writing manner takes advantages of literary writing skills, it belongs to narrative reports. Obituaries constituted by several events which could be reflect the character of report object. Therefore, we can use Narratology and News narrative as the theoretical basis for narrative research on obituaries.Currently, China's obituaries have been seen in some newspapers which have set up the column for obituaries and aperiodically published reports. In this paper from microcosmic point of view, we will concentrate on news writing strategies and takes 140 obituaries from 2009 to 2010 of The Beijing News as research samples to analyse the narrative methods. In the narrator, we deal with the position of narrator and point of narrative views; In narrative time, we mainly talk about time sequencing, timescales and time phrases; In narrative strategies, narrative structure and modes will be discussed. Finally, we try to summarize narrative characters of China's obituaries through narrative research on the specific text.
