In my city, sustained and rapid economic development and improve people’s livelihood demand driven, the number of municipal construction projects increased rapidly year by year, due to the complexity of municipal projects, each project will involve a number of different departments, to the project management of municipal construction management office to bring a lot of pressure, project management must be changed from extensive management the way to modern scientific management, professional.In the analysis of business, all aspects of the original business processes are analyzed in detail, by using the theories and methods of business process reengineering, we create new business management process. In the functional analysis section, through the case analysis and description, the system needs to function, introduces the overall function of the system diagram and package diagram of each sub function. In the data analysis section, the entity class diagram of system data needed to process are classified and analyzed, and the establishment of the database table structure, finally the development of municipal engineering information system, and put into use.Through business process reengineering, improve the efficiency of project management, effectively shorten the construction period. In the municipal engineering information system put into use, to solve the construction of two stage progress information is not clear the problem caused by the relevant departments, the system can know how many projects under construction, the progress of the works, the work plan arrangements, provides a great help for the rational allocation of resources and personnel scheduling.
