With the development of the electric power transmission, distribution, varying network, the application of switching station was born in many places. We need to real-time and fast monitor the environment and the line security around the switching station, in order to improve production efficiency with stability and safe. So the problem of safety monitoring of the environment around the switching station is eager to be solved.In order to solve this problem, this paper researches and analyzes the switching power environment monitoring system. This paper firstly introduces the background, project significance and current research and application of the switching power environment monitoring system, which will help to determine the research content and main work of this paper. The principles and methods of software engineering are used to help analysis this system. In the business analysis, this paper firstly analyzes the problems of the original system and organizational structure. Then swimlane from UML is used to analysis the functions of the original business processes such as real-time monitoring, the alarm and control processing. After that, swimlane gives the business processes which have been transformed. Lastly, this paper gives the system feasibility analysis including management feasibility and economic feasibility. In the functional analysis, this paper firstly analyzes the roles which will use this system and then data flow diagram is used to analysis the whole system data flow from the top, first and second floor data flow diagram to determine the main function of the system. Lastly, the overall architecture of the system and the structure of each functional module are given including real-time monitoring, real-time collection, alarm and so on. In the data analysis, E-R diagram is used to analysis the entity relationship. After that, this paper establishes the database table structure and gives some core stored procedures. Finally, the research and analysis work are summarized, and the prospect of further work is carried out.This paper solves these problems including the communication between application software and data collector, collecting environment data from switch station automatically and the communication between application software and web server.
