Analyzing the column <China> of the <Vista looking at the world>,this paper is aimed at pointing out that based on the understanding of the habits and psychological need of the audience, this column, on one side, has made compromise to the market, on the other side, the column has insisted the principle of Journalistic Professionalism. To highlight the Innovations, we should make a summary. Firstly, as a column of a News digest magazine, <China> reflected the “Commission” of the magazine. Secondly, <China> took a macroscopic understanding of the concept of “News” which was different from the tradition. It called for using of the news reservation of the audience to complete the story. In this way, it greatly enhanced the participation of audience. Thirdly, the inverted pyramid was not necessarily arranged in the importance or timeliness, but in the interest.
