The Inheritance And Development Of Qiang Architecture Under The Background Of Post-disaster Reconstruction

Wenchuan has been suffered the "512" earthquake for several years. Its post-disaster reconstruction has been basically completed. Post-disaster reconstruction work is mainly divided into old village recovery and rebuilt, new village relocation and rebuilt, etc. As a result, the space texture and cultural life of Qiang village has been influence widely and deeply. A large number of Qiang people leave their hometown. Commodity economy from outside impacts the Qiang culture. There are also some positive aspects. New materials and new technology has been widely used in local dwelling buildings. The level of Qiang people’s life increases significantly. Under the influence of these factors, it is worth discussing how to inherit the traditional Qiang culture.This thesis tries to summarize Qiang architecture characteristics and general rules under the background of post-disaster reconstruction planning and construction; To explore the strategies and techniques of the Qiang architecture in reconstruction. Research the case of Qiang building after the earthquake,and discuss the gain and loss.The thesis divided into four parts.The first part is introduction, which briefly introduces the relative research background. Meanwhile, to make clearly presentation on starting point of this research. This will excavat its significance and innovation from domestic and overseas researches recently. And confirm its research scope, framework and methods.The second part is overview about features, overall layout, monomer features and decorative features of Qiang nationality culture and traditional architectural.The third part is first simply analysis the damage of the earthquake on Qiang culture and its life style;Then discussion about principles, strategies and techniques of reconstruction on Qiang nationality architecture after the disaster. The principles are summarized by four points. Strategies are three points. And skills are five points. The investigation of Qiang nationality architecture is taken as an example to be discussed into the design techniques.The fourth part takes two typical cases of Qiang settlements to be focused on analysis discussion. One is the redevelopment village case, which type of construction is monotonic,as a point of research. Another is different new case Town, which is rich in various types of buildings,comparatively overall. Based on the above research to discuss on the gain and loss of Qiang architecture after reconstruction practice. And explore its development, renewal, problem and insufficiency of reconstruction.The thesis reviews the post-disaster reconstruction process in the permanent resettlement stage.lt throughs two clues,the process of Qiang culture changes and Qiang architectural style changes, and introduces the local design concept and community construction concept,to discusse on the gain and loss of the post-disaster reconstruction of Qiang area. Hope to provide some suggestions and basis for the inheritance and development of regional architecture in the future post-disaster reconstruction projects.
