Thousands of villages were collapsed during the Wenchuan earthquake in the year of 2008,but the Taoping Qiang village in Aba prefecture,which belongs to Longmenshan fault zone,was preserved.At present,the researches on the blockhouse in Taoping Qiang Village mainly focus on structural forms of the blockhouse,earthquake damage investigation,historic evolution and tourism development,while its earthquake resistance testing is ignored.Therefore,studying anti-seismic performance of the blockhouse structure in Taoping Qiang Village do has practical significance.We tested the basic mechanical properties of yellow mud and rock of the wall in the Taoping Qiang Village firstly.Then the shear performance of the wall of the chamber was analyzed carefully.Finally,three influence factors for the anti-seismic performance of Taoping Qiang village blockhouse structures were analyzed,while the corresponding anti-seismic strengthening measures are put forward.The research conclusions are summarized as following:(1)Through the testing of basic mechanical properties of the yellow mud and rock in the wall of the Taoping village,the mechanical parameters such as compressive strength,Poisson’s ratio and elastic modulus of the materials could be determined.The relevant parameters of the stone masonry structure would be calculated with relevant literatures and specifications.(2)The numerical simulation analysis of the shear performance of the blockhouse in Taoping Qiang village and brick masonry wall shows that the shear performance of Taoping Qiang village blockhouse wall is poorer than that of the brick masonry wall.(3)Through the establishment of finite element model,three factors : mass,wall collection and sharing wall model that affect the anti-seismic performance of the blockhouse structure in Taoping Qiang Villageare are discussed.The result shows that the block house structure conforms to the vibration phenomenon of stone masonry structure.(4)The dynamic and time-historical analysis of different structural forms of the blockhouse structure in Taoping Qiang Village in the case of multiple earthquakes shows that the displacement of the small-mass and low-rise blockhouse is smaller than that of large multi-storey blockhouse and the base shear force is smaller.The mass has a significant effect on the earthquake resistance of the blockhouse.The displacement of the blockhouse wall with outer bevel is smaller and the base shear force is smaller than that of the unbeveled structure,and the wall with outer bevel is benefited to seismic resistance.The room with common wall has small displacement and large base shearing force comparing with the single-family blockhouse.The sharing wall of blockhouse increases the structural integrity and the anti-seismic performance.(5)The finite element software was employed to analyze the time-history of acceleration and displacement of different structural forms models under rare earthquakes.The results show that the different structural forms of blockhouse can satisfy the seismic fortification objectives of buildings under large earthquakes.Small-mass and low-rise walls with bevel and sharing walls can improve the anti-seismic performance of the blockhouse structure effectively.Finally,a feasible suggestion is proposed for the anti-seismic performance of the blockhouse structure in Taoping Qiang Village according to the damage characteristics.
