Qiang, a national minority, is one of the oldest nationalities in China. People of this nationality has accepted and developed the essence of other nationalities'architecture, then, they innovated the architecture of its own and created the splendid culture of its own architecture in the process of thousands of years of development and evolution. The traditional buildings, eg: towers, stone house, Guanzhai, ect, are made of natural stone and wood. The superb skill which integrates the national spirit has made the architecture full of aesthetic value and deep cultural connotation.However, with the impact of modern civilization, economic tide, the integration of nationalities, and other reasons, the traditional architectures of Qiang nationality are losing their purely aesthetic value and cultural connotation and were seriously damaged especially after the 5.12 earthquake in Wenchuan, Sichuan province, meanwhile, the architectures of the new Beichuan county are somewhat inadequate in aesthetic value and cultural connotation. Therefore, the study of the aesthetic value of the Qiang architectures and the protection of heritage are of great significance.This paper gets an overall review and studys systematically of the aesthetic value by puting the architectures of Qiang nationality into the vision of aesthetics from the dimensions of space-time development, no matter in the field of architecture, archeology, the text on the science, literature or on the imaging study before or after the 5.12 earthquake in Wenchuan, Sichuan province, is included in the vision of the overall look.
