| Along with Chinese aging population increasing and economic level improving, aging population has been increasing. After retirement, the elderly spend most of their time in the community, so they treat community living environment very seriously. With growth of the aging population and improvement of life quality, most of the existing space quality and related facilities in urban community is difficult to meet the requirements of the elderly. In Shenzhen, because of the typical high temperature and humid climate zone, the elderly may be more eager to the community outdoor activities. So how to optimize the existing community activity space, and how to make it more suitable for the activity characteristics of the elderly with such climatic conditions in Shenzhen, are the core of this paper.In the background of high temperature and humid climate of Shenzhen, the study selects the typical Tao Yuan community of Shenzhen as the research object. The mainly contents include the following aspects:This thesis, By interviewing, questionnaire surveying and observeing the elderly outdoor activities in Tao Yuan community, the research summarizes elderly activity type, form, time, frequency, and characteristics of travel under the condition of high temperature hot and humid climate. According to the climate charateristics of Shenzhen, community elderly people’s own attribute and the elderly activity preferences, the study definites the community elderly activity space requirement, and put forward activity space types and patterns of the three different spheres of curtilage domain, group and community activity. By evaluating present situation of community outdoors activity space, scale, seats, and landscape, the study summarizes the existing problem and insufficiency of outdoor activity space design, details of the facilities and landscape. From the overall level of community space the study put forward the goal of optimization design. In view of the different levels of activity space characteristics, the study puts forward the feasible optimization strategy from curtilage domain, group, community three levels, and applied to optimization design for every activity space. The purpose of the thesis writing is to guide optimizating Tao Yuan community elderly outdoor activity space design, and play a certain reference function for the same type of community elderly outdoor activity space optimization. |
