| With the rapid growth of senior population in China, there is aging issues brought widespread attention to the state and society caused by the aging issues and the questions it brings. The elderly living environment directly affects the quality of the later years of life of the older persons especially. Outdoor activity space of residential area is an important part for the elderly people carrying out daily activities. The construct of residential area is a dynamic process and it is a development organized whole. However, the existing residential area planning is always a one-time one, which makes great limit for future design. Thus in the back ground of our national condition and it is difficult to meet the demand of elderly people. The majority of residential areas become unable to adapt. Residential area is a dynamic growth process is a continuous development and improvement of an organic whole. However, the, usually static planning and construction methods for predicting future demand have significant limitations. Thus in the context of today’s aging population, the evaluation of outdoor activity space for the elderly in residential area is an important part of the landscape residential area: design, and an important research topic of our country facing the aging issues.In this paper, takes the elderly outdoor activity space in Tianjin as the abject of the research. The author selected ten living quarters in central part of Tianjin which has typical representativeness to research and analysis. In order to improve the level and enhance the quality of outdoor spaces for elderly in living quarters and promote the theoretical basis of residential landscape construction, the author take a scientific and deep research of the district living quarters. The study is based on field surveys and questionnaires which provide a lot of data. After the use of AHP analysis, SD law, behavioral observation, semi-structured interviews a series of valuable evaluation methods, the author established a comprehensive evaluation system for the subject. The evaluation contains two parts:qualitative and the quantitative. The author discovered the potential demands of older users in outdoor activity spaces in living quarters; obtain basic information of living quarters designed for the elderly Tianjin as well as some of the space problems. In the end, the author raised some optimization strategies for design of elderly outdoors space in living quarters in Tianjin as well as provide a theoretical proposal for Tianjin in future planning of elderly residential. |
